“I love working with the team to create emotive and functional spaces, as well as seeing clients enjoy the process and experience the end result.”

Dan always had an interest in the built environment and architecture from a young age. Growing up with an architect mother who was always positive and excited about the profession was a big influence on his decision to take it on as a career.

Since starting at Base in 2015, Dan has been a sponge for knowledge, taking advantage of the team’s collaborative approach and maximising his experience across residential, multi-residential and renovation projects. He provides support to the architects to help achieve the client’s goals and deliver outstanding results. With an attitude that shines brightly in the Base office, he’s known for always having a smile on his face and his willingness to learn.

Dan believes everyone can recognise a well-designed space that gives the user a sense of it even if they’re not sure what separates it from other spaces. He says if it’s something you want, architecturally designed space is always worth it.

Influenced by modernist architecture, one of Dan’s favourite buildings is Villa Mairea by Alvar Aalto — one he is keen to visit some day. In the mean time, he is mad about sport and passionate about travel, and plans to take a trip with friends and family at least once a year to continue to see the world.
