The renovation of this small 60’s house presented an opportunity to take advantage of the north eastern orientation, and the back yard’s outlook to a rock formation. Previously, access to this space was only possible through the laundry. The renovation provided a dramatic double height family room and outdoor room which takes full advantage of the outlook and access to natural light throughout the year. This space became the new hub of the house with the kitchen and dining arranged around it, a study tucked behind the kitchen, and the guest and master bedrooms overlooking the space from the level above. Not only has the renovation offered greater space and amenity, but most importantly it has offered a lifestyle opportunity with the family now spending more time living and entertaining outdoors.
