This new family home at Ashgrove is designed to take maximum advantage of panoramic views to the front of the site. The angled walls projecting outward give rooms to the rear of the site access to these views, while using height to maximise privacy from street level. Informal living and family rooms open to an outdoor room and landscaped pool area to the rear of the site. A central staircase forms the circulation spine of the house and also enables full cross ventilation of the building by allowing warm air to be vented through the upper level. Spatial planning is informed by a hierarchy of privacy and functional influences specifically catered to the values and lifestyle of the occupants.
Due to start construction in September 2011
