A renovation to an existing Queenslander, a small volume was added to the rear of the house which houses the kitchen and dining room, and opens up the living spaces to the rear yard.

The existing kitchen and bathroom where reorientated to become a Masterbed and esnsuite, and a new family bathroom fitout was added internally.

The small addition has maximised the rear yard space and made the house functional for a growing family with a conservative budget, without the need to ‘raise and build under”!

Small details such as timber clad ceilings, polished concrete and built in bench seating define the new spaces, but also had a modern touch to the existing Queenslander, which looks identical from the street.
