John Hyde

An enthusiastic Queensland University of Technology Architecture Student, John started working at Base a year after his Architecture degree commenced in 2004. After completing his Bachelor of Built Environment, John spent a year travelling the world, including time spent working on ski slopes in the US, and in an architectural office in London. He has been a dedicated and hard worker, learning to question clients’ basic assumptions with the aim of creating place responsive architecture rather than simply adhering to architecture trends. An innovative thinker, John will work with his BASE Architecture client’s to produce sustainable and first class design results.
Along with graduating from university in 2010, John implemented a major reform of the Base footy tipping comp, and as such he has been promoted to the role of Tipping Competition Manager. John has also recently become a first home owner and a proud husbanand we look forward to hearing about the development of his Man Cave and other potential renovations.
