“I love being able to contribute to the lives of our clients through thoughtful design.”
Steph’s passion for creativity started at a young age, always interested in drawing and sketching. Her artistic upbringing evolved into an enthusiasm for architectural design, with a key focus on evoking sensory experiences. Ask anyone at Base what they think about Steph and they will all tell you she has a positive and engaging personality with a great passion for architecture.
One of her favourite buildings is the Jewish Museum, in Berlin, designed by Daniel Libeskind. Experiencing this space first-hand, demonstrated to her how emotionally powerful buildings can be when thoughtfully designed.
As a Graduate of Architecture at Base, Steph assists with the design, documentation and management of projects. Her passion for sketching strongly influences the way in which she communicates her ideas across to clients, by evoking emotive qualities in her drawings.
In her experience to date, Steph has worked across many sectors including residential, multi-residential, education, retail, aged care and commercial. She believes design and architecture is not just about aesthetic qualities, but more importantly, how well-designed spaces can improve the lives of those who inhabit them.
Outside of work she’s currently renovating her own worker’s cottage where she can be creative with the design and materiality, while also expanding on her construction skills.
Steph in brief:
Bachelor of Architectural Design (UQ)
Master of Architecture (UQ)
