This renovation of a large Queenslander at Fairfield works with and builds upon the qualities of the existing house to create a more livable house for a family of 4 to 6 people. The design caters for long-term visiting grandparents with additional living and sleeping quarters on the lower level, as well as providing a home office for the fashion-designer owner.
Living spaces are flexible and dynamic, opening fully onto a large outdoor room and pool area.
Rather than compromise on quality, the owners have opted for a staged approach to construction, which is set to begin in November 2010
