Frustrated with the process of attempting to satisfy their family’s budgetary and functional needs with an off-the-plan model, the clients for this project came to us hoping for a higher quality, cost effective alternative to the typical project home.
Ease of construction, combined careful consideration of the lifestyle and needs of the occupants, were the key focus in the design process. By separating the building into two functional wings, construction costs were reduced due to the simplicity of the structural design. The structure is slab on ground, combined with predominantly lightweight structure, including prefabricated timber frames, simple roof trusses, and some brickwork.
The project is currently under construction and we look forward to showing you the results in the first half of 2011.
